Dr. Jeremy Baitman was raised in southern Illinois and earned a degree in Biology from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois and then a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. He has extensive training and 14 years of experience in emergency medicine and surgery in addition to general practice in preventative care, elective surgery, dentistry, and management of chronic conditions. Additionally, he pursued a practitioner sabbatical in small animal ultrasound imaging through Purdue University. Some of Dr. Baitman’s professional interests include preventative care, wound management, emergencies, kidney, and urinary tract disease. When free time allows, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing with his dog Bodie, playing and watching most sports, getting “outdoors,” and traveling. Dr. Baitman believes it is important to tailor his patients’ care to their unique circumstances and to be as helpful as possible to each patient’s caregiver. Dr. Baitman believes we can help strengthen the bond between a person and their pets through excellent veterinary care and communication.

Holly Pietschmann, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Holly Pietschmann has been practicing small animal medicine for 14 years. She graduated from Western Illinois University in 2002 with a degree in biology and then earned her veterinary degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in 2006. Her love for animals started at a young age when she discovered she loved caring for her own pets when they were sick. Her professional interests include preventative care, internal medicine, and end-of-life care. In 2018, she completed advanced training from the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy in order to improve her end-of-life care. Helping animals live a long, healthy life and providing them with a peaceful transition into their afterlife is very important to her. Outside of work she enjoys being outdoors, gardening, and spending time with her family and their cat, Violet.
